On May 20, 2017, members from the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department participated in the Laytonsville Town Parade. The theme for the parade was "Honoring Our Past & Celebrating Our Future." There were students from Laytonsville Elementary, lots of antique cars, Gaithersburg High School Cheerleaders, Marching Band, and Flag Team, several other floats and last but not least, the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department.
