June 21st 2017 - Ambulance 740, Rescue Squad 717, Paramedic Engine 740 were dispatched to Route 108 & Volunteer Dr for a vehicle crash. Chief 717 (Burns) quickly arrived to find the crash on Route 108 near Johnsons Nursery closer to Laytonsville. Chief 717 established command, requested an alternate talk group (radio channel) & reported multiple patients in 3 vehicles & one severely pinned. Other units that responded were: Ambulance 717, Ambulance 728, Ambulance 704, Paramedic Engine 728, Paramedic Engine 704, Truck 725, Helicopter Trooper 3, Chief 717C, Chief 700, Battalion Chief 704, Safety 700, EMS704. Several patients were transported to local trauma centers. Our thoughts & prayers are with them all.
