We currently have space for live-in members. Once you have EMT-B and have your status to ride officer on the ambulance, you can live in our station for free. Whether you want to live here or not, there are many benefits to Volunteering at Laytonsville. All the training you receive is free. We have a retirement program through the state of Maryland called LOSAP. If you make enough points, you will also get a yearly check of several hundred dollars, courtesy of our bargaining unit. After three years as an active member, you also get a big tax break for the state of Maryland. Being an active volunteer, you may apply for “County-Employee Only” jobs that are available. There is also tuition assistance through Montgomery County. Scroll through the photos and see what we have to offer within the station. TV room, conference/training room, gym, private dorm rooms, private showers and kitchen.
