On Saturday January 7th, Junior Webelos from Pack 1438 visited our station to complete their First Responder Adventure, which is a required training for advancement in the Cub Scouts. Members from LDVFD taught these Cub Scouts how to perform First Aid, how to identify dangerous situations, and how to talk to 9-1-1. The Webelos also got a tour of the station and our apparatus, while asking many great questions about the fire service. This was one of our first Community Outreach events since Covid began, and the Laytonsville members are excited to resume interactions with the community.
