On Friday, December 1, 2023, members from the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department escorted a very special guest to the Town Tree Lighting. That special guest was the big man in the red suit! This event officially kicked off with the Laytonsville Elementary School chorus singing Christmas Carols followed by Santa showing up on a firetruck to meet all the children. Even though the rain tried to ruin the festivities, many still turned out to see Santa.
