Career Plans

I am currently running a lawn/landscaping Business (Chief Lawns), as well as working as a Security Officer/EMS Provider at one of the County MCCH Shelters. Longer-term aspirations include several other business startups and opportunities within the Fire Service.

Why did you join the fire department?

It has always been a deep interest of mine to be involved in the fire service. Having several close relatives work for MCFRS put me in a place to see various elements of the fire dept from a young age. I visited Station #17 at a very young age and was given a tour, and since held LDVFD in a very special place in my heart. Years later I ended up finally joining, and have been super grateful for the opportunities and people I've been able to meet here. It's very humbling to be a part of a department with such high-level training and an unmatched focus on excellence. I love our community here in Laytonsville, and have been very grateful to volunteer here for going on almost a decade. My only regret is not starting sooner!

What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department?

I especially enjoy spending quality time with my wife and friends. I enjoy reading the Bible, Photography, Biking, Kayaking, Hiking, Playing Drums/Percussion, Operating Equipment, Security, Learning New Skills, and Growing to be the Best I can at Whatever I Do.
