On Wednesday, April 26th, after our membership meeting, volunteers participated in a MCI triage drill hosted by FFII Nick Stapleton. This drill comprised of having several patients that had been in a bus accident. Each patient had a card with their symptoms. Members had to assess and ask questions to the patients in order to triage them properly based on severity of injuries. Even though we don’t run many MCI incidents in our 1st due area, there are times we are transferred to surrounding areas that do. So, it’s always good to have these types of drills in order to stay up to date on protocols.
