| During EMS Week, we recognize all of our responders for their dedication and professionalism. Our volunteer and career staff deliver comfort and compassion to hundreds of patients each year.
For those interested in health care, volunteering and training to become an EMT is an excellent way to begin. This experience provides valuable insight and can help determine if a health care career is the right path.
We acknowledge our past volunteers who started as Red Cross First Aid providers and later became Maryland EMTs. Many have gone on to become paramedics, nurses, and doctors.
